Indoor and Outdoor Range Info

The key for the Indoor Range dumpster (which is located in the south parking lot) is being relocated to hang just left of the door. Your help is needed to take the trash out as the cans get full. Mice have been responding to our full trash cans and items being left out. Also, please remember that your guests pay the
$3 guest fee when shooting at the
Indoor Range (Members pay only $1 as do those who are eligible under Family Memberships). As host, you
are responsible for your guests' safe behavior.

On another note, Oklahoma City Police have agreed to have a greater presence at the Outdoor Range. If you notice vandalism or illegal activities taking place, please call the police so that an Incident Report can be made.

Trosper Club Programs For Young Archers

Trosper Archery Club has reached out to the archers of tomorrow in establishing a National-Archery-Association-certified Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Club for archers eighteen and under.

The young archers in growing numbers have responded enthusiastically in attending initial sessions.

During the summer, the Trosper JOAD Club will meet at the outdoor range at 10:00 a.m., Saturdays, unless there is a tournament scheduled for that weekend.

The JOAD Program provides boys and girls with an opportunity to learn to shoot and win awards for achievement in shooting, as well as opportunities to compete with others their age.

The NAA's JOAD Clubs have contributed significantly to filling our U. S. Olympic Archery Teams, since many recent U.S. Olympic team members began shooting as JOAD Club members.

Adult leaders are needed to work with NAA-certified coaches Gary Adair, Cameron Potter and Jane Johnson in developing Oklahoma's future gold medalists. Contact Gary Adair at 721-0979 to take part in this exciting new project.

Participating Membership Responsibilities . . .

Participating Members were each provided a card at the time of joining to record their hours worked at Trosper Club events. To meet the requirement, complete no less than 16 hours of volunteer time during 2003. Many members will find that the next three months preparing the Outdoor Ranges for club shoots and the upcoming ASA Regionals will more than satisfy their Participating Member requirements. Please contact Vice President Gary Adair at 842-0363 or 721-0979 to schedule your work time. He is actively looking for help to get the outdoor ranges ready.
