2007 Trosper Archery Club Membership Information

There are dozens of reasons why archers of all types will want to join Trosper Archery Club.  Just a few of those include the convenient, central Oklahoma City locations of the Indoor and Outdoor Ranges, the fine facilities and the friendly members willing to help you in any way.

Benefits of membership include key access to the outdoor range, daily access to the 13 lane indoor ranges and equipment (bow press, paper tuner, bow scale, work bench.  There’s even a chronograph to help you tune your bow!

Membership also includes discounts on fall, winter and spring indoor league shooting opportunities and seasonal outdoor 3D throughout the warmer months exist for those interested in either sport or preparing for bowhunting.  Summer outdoor leagues are also discounted for members of Trosper Archery Club.

Trosper members are also entitled to reduce shooting fees for club tournaments and practice at the Indoor Range.  You will receive all issues of the Trosper newsletter, be able to compete for the Big Buck and Big Doe awards and proudly display your personalized Trosper membership quiver tag.

2007 membership dues should be sent with your 2007 updated form to Treasurer.  In exchange for helping the Club, Participating Members will receive a lower cost membership as shown on the Membership Application.  Participating members should contact Vice President or by calling the club cell phone at (405) 519 8325 with questions about fulfilling their participating membership responsibilities.  Participating Members must volunteer at least 16 hours per year to complete the participating member requirement.  Vice President will assign members as needed to complete tasks at either range.  Members who initially choose to be participating members at the time of joining/rejoining are to contact an officer to convert at any time during the year they determine they will become unable to complete the participating member requirements.  Failure to complete the participating membership requirements during the membership year will require the member to become a non-participating member the following year or to pay the non-participating fees for the year in which the requirements were not met.  Trosper Archery Club survives and prospers in proportion to the number of participating members and you are encouraged to help improve the organization.

As an additional benefit, participating members working a club shoot will have their shooting fee waived for that shoot.  To keep things fair, this will be considered a “fun shoot” since the participating member may have helped set targets.  Lots of great friendships have developed over the years while

Trosper members have worked side by side for the Club’s benefit.

Shooting fees for use of the indoor range are $5 per visit for members, $10 per visit for shooting guest adults and $1.00 per visit for shooting archers under age 18 who are accompanied by an adult  Failure to pay member or guest shooting fees may result in loss of membership privileges.

Safety is a priority and all new and renewal members should read and periodically review the Trosper Archery Club Safety Code.  The outdoor range is located on City of Oklahoma City park land and the lease renewal is dependent upon our safe operations.  As a member, you will also be provided a set of the Trosper Archery Club Bylaws, which contain the details of how the Club successfully operates.

Trosper Archery Club is a non-profit corporation with the objectives of promoting the sport of archery.  Tournaments and leagues will be conducted in accordance with Club rules and rules adopted from affiliated organizations.  Archery safety is promoted in all aspects, including bowhunting.  Membership meetings are held the second Monday four times per year, usually at the indoor or outdoor range.  Members often shoot and socialize following the meetings.

Once you have read and signed the membership forms, considered your membership and paid your membership dues, you will be provided with a key to the locks at the Indoor Range and the gate at the Outdoor Range.  Call the Trosper Club cell phone (405) 519 8325 to speak to an officer for answer to your questions.
